Man arrested after gun pointed at Dakota Tipi First Nation motorists

Portage la Prairie RCMP arrested a man accused of walking around Dakota Tipi First Nation with a gun and pointing it at passing vehicles.

Mounties, called about the suspect at 11:20 a.m. on Friday, patrolled the community and soon found a man who matched the suspect’s description. Officers seized a weapon.

A 33-year-old from the First Nation has been charged with pointing a firearm, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
