A man is facing charges after a string of package thefts in Westwood.

City police said a man driving a 2024 Ford F150 Supercrew stole a package off the front porch of a home on the first 100 block of Columbus Crescent shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Police believe the man stole a package from a home on the 3200 block of Assiniboine Avenue shortly after.

Both incidents were captured on home security cameras and reported to police.

Police found the truck, which contained “a large quantity of packages and property believed to be stolen,” parked on the 600 block of Cavalier Drive at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

Some of the property has been returned to its owners, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a media release Saturday.

The man, 56, is facing two charges of theft under $5,000 and was released on an appearance notice.
