Police say a man with a pistol broke into a vacant apartment suite on Ronald Street and “trashed it.”
Officers were sent to the 200 block shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday and found a man passed out next to a satchel with the butt of a handgun sticking out of it.
Police found a loaded .45-calibre handgun in the bag, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Thursday.
A 19-year-old man has been charged with nine break-and-enter and firearms-related offences.
