Mounties have arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing that left one man with serious injuries in Thompson earlier this month.
An 18-year-old man is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon, Manitoba RCMP said in a news release Friday.
Police found the 26-year-old victim suffering from serious injuries behind a business on Thompson Drive at 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 2. He was transported to hospital and upgraded to stable condition.
Investigators released photos of people believed to have information about the incident shortly after it occurred. Tips from the public helped lead to the arrest, police said.
The suspect remains in custody. The investigation is ongoing, RCMP said.
