Man arrested in Kennedy Street slaying

Homicide detectives have arrested a man accused in the city’s latest slaying.

Ricky Dwayne Mancheese, 49, was stabbed on Kennedy Street between Sargent and Cumberland avenues just before noon on Tuesday.

Winnipeg police homicide investigators, who identified a suspect, arrested Matthew Gerald Tomack Pelletier, 36, on Wednesday evening.

He’s been charged with second-degree murder and held in custody.
