A man wanted for a shooting in Thompson in September was arrested in Hamilton last week.
RCMP first asked for the public’s help in finding Tyrell Malique Porter, 22, on Sept. 29. They eventually determined the Thompson man was in Hamilton.
He was arrested May 6. Porter has been charged with four firearms offences and transported to Winnipeg.
The shooting happened after a two-vehicle collision on Perch Avenue on the night of Sept. 15. Officers found an injured 47-year-old man.
Police determined the man had been driving a pickup truck that was involved in a collision with an SUV, and the driver of the SUV followed the man to a home. A man got out and shot the victim. A neighbouring home was hit by the gunfire, police said at the time.
RCMP are still searching for another suspect, a spokeswoman said Tuesday.
