Man arrested in Stanley Street stabbing

A man accused in a stabbing on Stanley Street on Saturday morning has been charged with aggravated assault.

Winnipeg Police Service patrol officers rushed to the 300 block of Stanley, near Henry Avenue, at about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday over a report of a fight.

Police found a 31-year-old man suffering from stab wounds and gave him first aid before paramedics rushed him to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation and arrested Christopher Fosseneuve, 42. He’s been charged with aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order. He remains in custody.
