A cyclist is facing charges after police say they found two working homemade stun guns among his belongings Monday night.
Police were in the North Point Douglas area on an unrelated matter shortly before 9 p.m. when they saw a man riding a bike “contrary to Highway Traffic Act… regulations.”
Police stopped the man and learned that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Officers also found a can of bear spray, 2.4 grams of crack cocaine and 0.8 grams of methamphetamine among his belongings, police said Tuesday. The drugs are worth about $320, the Winnipeg Police Service said.
A 41-year-old man is facing charges and was released.
