Man charged in 2007 slaying

A B.C. man and former Manitoban has been charged in the 2007 killing of Crystal Saunders, 24.
Saunders, an Indigenous woman, was last seen in the West End of Winnipeg on April 18, 2007, and her body was found the next day near St. Ambroise, RCMP said.
Kevin Charles Queau, 42, of Vancouver, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Police said DNA was found on the victim’s remains, and a suspect match was found in a national database years after the slaying. Investigators spent years working to gain enough evidence to arrest and charge a suspect, RCMP said.
