Man charged in fatal Arlington Street shooting

A man has been charged with second-degree murder after a victim was fatally shot at an Arlington Street home.

Police were sent to a reported “disturbance” on the 300 block shortly after 3 p.m. Friday and found the body of a man who had died from a gunshot wound. Investigators identified the man as Caleb Joshua Johnston, 37.

Police arrested 32-year-old Hugh Keith Switzer on Monday, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Wednesday. Switzer, who is also charged with five firearms offences, was detained in custody.
