Man charged with child pornography offences

A Winnipeg man is facing charges after police allegedly found child sexual abuse material on his phone.

The Winnipeg Police Service’s internet child exploitation (ICE) unit launched an investigation this month and arrested a man early Wednesday. Police seized a phone from him and obtained a search warrant, and ICE investigators seized more electronic devices from a downtown-area home.

Matthew De Paz, 30, has been charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and voyeurism.
