Man charged with manslaughter in Norway House slaying

A man has been charged with manslaughter after a woman was killed in Norway House.

Derek Bruce Forbister, 35, was arrested and charged with manslaughter Thursday, RCMP said. He is a resident of the community.

Police said Tuesday that the death of the 23-year-old woman that morning was considered suspicious. She was found dead inside a home at about 7:30 a.m.

Forbister and the victim knew each other, RCMP said.
