RCMP are investigating after a two-vehicle collision in the Rural Municipality of St. Clements claimed the life of a 62-year-old man.

Police said the man was driving northeast on Provincial Road 508 when his vehicle was hit by a pickup pulling a trailer while heading northwest on Highway 4 around 11 a.m. Thursday.

The driver of the vehicle, who was from Scanterbury, was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck’s driver, a 21-year-old man from Arborg, was not injured.

Selkirk RCMP said in a Friday news release it is believed the vehicle did not stop at a stop sign before the collision.
