Man dies in custody at Brandon Correctional Centre

A 23-year-old man died while in custody at the Brandon Correctional Centre on Sunday.
Manitoba Justice reported the death Monday, offering condolences to the man’s family and saying it would not be releasing any more information.
The death has been reported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which investigates all deaths of people in custody in Manitoba. A statement from Manitoba Justice said the Brandon Police Service is also investigating.
