Man rushed to hospital after being stabbed at The Forks

A man was transported to hospital in critical condition after he was stabbed at The Forks late Thursday night.
Police were sent to the area at about 10:45 p.m. and found a 25-year-old man suffering from “serious upper body injuries.” Officers gave him emergency medical care, including applying a chest seal.
The victim was later upgraded to stable condition.
An investigation determined the victim and the suspect knew each other and became involved in a dispute, with one man using an unknown weapon on the other.
Security guards at The Forks directed officers to a suspect. A 24-year-old Winnipeg man is facing a charge of aggravated assault and has been detained in custody.
