Man seriously hurt in machete attack

Two teens were arrested, and police are searching for a third, after a man was attacked with a machete Friday night.
A man in 20s was leaving a home, where he had been socializing, on the 300 block of Keenleyside Street when he was attacked at about 7:45 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service said.
As the man was leaving, males he didn’t know, who were in an upstairs suite, chased him outside and attacked him with a machete and bear spray. The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition. He was eventually upgraded to stable after significant medical treatment, the WPS said.
Police tracked down three males on Watt Street. Two were arrested after a short foot chase, but the third got away, police said.
A 14-year-old boy is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. A 16-year-old boy is charged with aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a weapon and five counts of failure to comply with a sentence.
