Man smashed windows on four buses: police

A 30-year-old man who had been ordered by a court to stay off Winnipeg Transit property is accused of smashing windows on multiple buses Sunday.
Police say video surveillance captured the man smashing windows on four different buses between 1:36 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., which caused about $3,000 in damage.
The incidents were reported to police and officers arrested the man while he was walking on the 800 block of Main Street at 8:39 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Monday.
He has eight convictions for mischief under $5,000 from August 2023 to August 2025.
The man is charged with four counts of mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order. He was detained in custody.
