Man stabbed downtown Wednesday

Police are looking for suspects after a 46-year-old man was stabbed on Portage Avenue Wednesday.

Officers were called at about 5:45 p.m., and found the victim with serious upper-body injuries in the 200 block of Portage Avenue. He was sent to hospital in unstable condition but has been upgraded to stable condition.

The suspects fled before police arrived. Investigators say the victim was confronted by several people in the 300 block of Portage Avenue and was stabbed with an unknown weapon. He went to a nearby business, where police were called.
