Man stabbed on Keewatin Street

A man was rushed to hospital in unstable condition after he was stabbed multiple times during an argument Tuesday night.

The incident happened on the first 100 block of Keewatin Street at about 8:50 p.m. Police officers gave the man first aid until paramedics took over. He was later upgraded to stable condition.

“Witnesses pointed out the suspect to officers, who was in a nearby lot already being spoken to by police, and was taken into custody,” the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Thursday.

A 31-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
