A 27-year-old man was arrested Friday and accused of threatening to kill four women.

Officers were contacted Thursday about the man, who had told a third party about his intentions, a Winnipeg Police Service news release stated Wednesday.

As the investigation continued, the child exploitation unit took over.

Between November and January, one of the women was harassed by the man, police said.

The man was taken into custody Friday by the child exploitation unit and counter exploitation unit at a residence on the 600 block of St. James Street. Electronic devices were seized.

In addition to uttering threats, the man was charged with several offences including criminal harassment, luring a person under 16, and possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

He remains in custody.
