Manitoba extends provincewide state of emergency

The Manitoba government has extended its provincewide state of emergency owing to wildfires raging in northern Manitoba.
The state of emergency will be in effect until at least Aug. 22, the province said in a news release.
The state of emergency, the second the province has declared since May, was called on July 10.
