Man’s body pulled from Lake Winnipeg

A man was found dead in Lake Winnipeg after a capsized boat was seen northwest of the Balsam Harbour marina Wednesday.
Selkirk RCMP were contacted at about 3:40 p.m. after the boat was spotted about two kilometres northwest of the marina.
Members of the East Beaches Fire Department found the body of the boat’s operator a short distance away from the boat at about 5:45 p.m.
The 77-year-old Winnipeg man was wearing a life jacket, RCMP said in a news release Thursday.
