McPhillips Street hotel clerk threatened, robbed at gunpoint

Police are investigating after four armed suspects robbed a Winnipeg hotel early Monday morning.
Officers were called to the business, located on the 1-99 block of McPhillips Street, around 2 a.m., where they learned the group of suspects had entered the lobby wearing masks and carrying handguns. During the robbery, the suspects threatened a front desk employee, damaged property and broke into a cash register, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release.
The group fled from the hotel with an undisclosed amount of money. Nobody was injured, WPS said.
