Police are searching for a missing Winnipeg woman who was driving in the Rennie area on Thursday.

Whitemouth RCMP were contacted about Brittany Dawn Storey, 29, at about 4:10 p.m. that day.

RCMP said late Friday that police were told Storey was in the Rennie area on a group chat with friends when she said she had struck a tree, and the call was lost. No one has been able to reach Storey since then.

Police patrolled the area between Rennie and Winnipeg, including back roads, but there was no sign of Storey or her SUV.

Storey has not returned to her home, shown up for work or been active on social media, RCMP said.

“Family and police are concerned for Storey’s well-being,” a news release said.

Storey is described as 6 feet tall, 130 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. Her vehicle is a white 2016 Dodge Journey, Manitoba licence plate LFR 884.

RCMP are asking anyone with information about the case to contact the Whitemouth detachment at 204-348-2935, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or manitobacrimestoppers.com.
