More pistachio-related recalls

More kinds of pistachio products distributed in Manitoba have been recalled because of salmonella.

Notices for Allo Simonne’s pistachio matcha spread and chocolate bars were issued Wednesday. A recall for items made by Pista Green sold at Gill’s Supermarket on Pembina Highway, and at another Gill’s location on Inkster Boulevard, was issued Dec. 5.

Previous recalls were issued earlier this month and in November. More information about food recalls is available online.

One Manitoban is among 155 people across Canada who became ill from a salmonella outbreak linked to various brands of pistachios and pistachio-containing products, the Public Health Agency of Canada said earlier this month.
