Pat Neufeld and Willie Jefferson have each been honoured for the second time by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for their work off the field.
Neufeld, a three-time CFL all-star and fixture on the interior of the offensive line, was awarded the Ed Kotowich “Good Guy Award” for his numerous public and charitable appearances on behalf of the football club.
The Kotowich Award, first presented in 1987, recognizes excellent football ability, leadership in the locker room and outstanding effort in the community.
Neufeld won the Cal Murphy “Heart of a Legend Award” in 2021.
Jefferson, a five-time CFL all-star at defensive end, received the 2023 Murphy Award for his family’s involvement with the club and in the community.
The award, presented since 2001, recognizes outstanding sportsmanship and dedication to the Canadian Football League and the community.
Jefferson was the 2022 Kotowich Award winner.
