Nine more measles cases announced

The province announced nine new confirmed measles cases Friday, for a total of 262 since February.

There are 18 probable cases. The latest numbers are accurate as of Nov. 22.

​​The provincial government also notified the public this week of more locations where people might have been exposed to measles. The locations are:

  • Café 545’s community meal at the Central Station Community Centre in Winkler, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday
  • Sharptooth Adventures in Morden, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 22
  • Meridian Exhibition Centre in Winkler, from 5:45 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Nov. 21

Public health officials asked anyone who was in those locations during those times to check their immunization records and ensure they are up to date with measles vaccines.
