Nominations for provincial teacher awards open

Manitoba opened nominations for its teaching excellence awards on Sunday, also known as World Teachers’ Day, which takes place annually on Oct. 5.

This year’s award categories include both overall teaching and school leadership excellence, early-career success and outstanding team-collaboration. Students, parents and teacher-colleagues can nominate anyone who holds a valid teaching certificate and works directly with kindergarten-to-Grade 12 students in a school setting.

The deadline for nominations is Dec. 4. Forms and criteria are available online.
