One killed in single-vehicle crash east of Emerson

A 22-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on a southern Manitoba highway.

The man was travelling on Provincial Road 200, just east of Emerson in the Rural Municipality of Emerson-Franklin, when his vehicle struck a guardrail, went off the road and caught fire at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, RCMP said.

The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He died at the scene, police said.
