Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle at Maryland Street and Notre Dame Avenue

A pedestrian died after she was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Maryland Street and Notre Dame Avenue late Friday night.
Police were sent to the scene at about 10:30 p.m.
The 57-year-old woman was taken to hospital in critical condition, where she later died. The driver remained at the scene and met with officers, police said.
“No charges have been laid,” the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Monday.
