Pedestrian hit by vehicle on Portage Avenue

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Portage Avenue near Vaughan Street on Monday morning.

The Winnipeg Police Service said the collision occurred at about 10:50 a.m.

The person, whose sex and age were not released, was taken to hospital in unstable condition but was later upgraded to stable.

Police said the driver stayed at the scene.
