RCMP have released images of two “persons of interest” they are seeking in connection with a fire that gutted a church in Carman last month.

On Monday, police released two images taken from security video and asked for the public’s help in identifying the pair. They asked anyone with information about either person to call the Carman RCMP detachment at 204-745-6760.

Grace-St. John’s Anglican Lutheran Church was destroyed in the fire, which started early on March 13.

The fire was deemed suspicious. The merged congregation began meeting in the building, built in 1965, in March 2001.

Carman is located roughly 75 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg and has a population of about 3,100.
