Pilot survives crop-dusting plane crash in Interlake

A 33-year-old pilot suffered minor injuries when a crop-dusting plane crashed into trees in the Interlake on Sunday.

RCMP said the plane went down at about 1 p.m., after one of its wings hit a tree while spraying a field in the Rural Municipality of Bifrost-Riverton.

The crash happened south of the intersection of Highway 68 and Provincial Road 233.

Police said the pilot, who was the lone occupant of the plane, was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries. He is from Bifrost-Riverton.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada was notified of the crash.
