Man assaulted in Main Street lot

Winnipeg police are investigating an assault in a parking lot near Main Street and Sutherland Avenue early today.

The Winnipeg Police Service said officers responded to a call for a well-being check in a parking lot at about 4:30 a.m.

They found a man suffering from “severe bodily injuries.” He was transported to hospital and is in critical condition, the WPS said.

No arrests have been made.

The sidewalk along Main Street was taped off as police investigated.
