Police search for missing teen

Update: a missing 14-year-old girl has been found.

On July 9, the Winnipeg Police Service announced Cherrayea Meeches has been safely located. On June 12, police asked for help to find her.

Meeches was last seen on May 19, in the St. James industrial area, and hadn’t been heard from since then.

She is known to frequent the North End, central area of the city and East Kildonan.

She was described as 5-1 in height with a thin build, medium length black hair, and brown eyes.

Police asked the public to contact the missing persons (204-986-6250) unit if they knew her whereabouts.
