Police used a Taser on a man who allegedly held a knife while approaching officers amid a large party on Roseau River First Nation.
The Manitoba First Nations Police was told on Aug. 2 about an adult reportedly providing alcohol to young people at a party at his home.
Officers went there and were met by “a crowd of people causing a huge disturbance,” the MFNPS said in a news release Monday.
Police tried to speak to the homeowner, and he refused to drop the knife after being told to do so “numerous times,” the MFNPS said.
The man was arrested for assault and later released from custody.
