Provincial public health officials are warning that people who recently went to the hospital in The Pas may have been exposed to measles.

Officials say anyone who went to St. Anthony’s General Hospital emergency department waiting room on Tuesday Sept. 28 between 8:20 and 10:35 a.m. may have been exposed.

Officials ask anyone who was at the hospital at that time to check if they are up to date on their measles vaccines.

For people who were there and were born after 1970, have never gotten a measles vaccine and have never been infected by measles to reduce their exposures to others from the fifth day after exposure to the 21st day after the latest exposure, to get their measles shot and to watch for symptoms.
