Province announces $950K in northern waste management, diversion

Municipal and Northern Relations Minister Glen Simard has announced $950,000 to make improvements to the waste site that services Lynn Lake and Marcel Colomb First Nation, a Saturday news release says.
The funds, which are being issued through the Manitoba Growth, Renewal and Opportunities for Municipalities program, will be used to expand and modernize the landfill site’s infrastructure by increasing capacity and enhancing diversion efforts.
