The province announced 12 new confirmed measles cases Friday, for a total of 290 since February.
There are 25 probable cases, an increase of two from the previous weekly update. The latest numbers are accurate as of Dec. 13.
The Manitoba government notified the public Wednesday of another location where people might have been exposed to measles: Bethesda Regional Health Centre’s emergency waiting room in Steinbach, from 2 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. Sunday.
Public health officials asked anyone who was there during that time to check their immunization records and ensure they are up to date with measles vaccines.
