Province identifies measle exposure sites in Winkler, Portage la Prairie

Manitoba has identified three new sites where the public may have been exposed to measles.
In a Saturday release, the sites are identified as:
- The Best Western Hotel’s indoor pool, located at 1705 Diamond Dr. in Winkler on May 22 at 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. May 23.
- McDonald’s, located at 25 25th St. NW in Portage la Prairie on May 27 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- The Portage la Prairie Hospital’s emergency department, located at 524 5th St. SE in Portage la Prairie at 6 p.m. on May 27 to 1 a.m. May 28.
Anyone who thinks they may have been exposed at these locations and has not been notified is asked to contact Health Links-Info Santé at 204-788-8200 in Winnipeg or 1-888-315-9257 toll-free in Manitoba.
Measles symptoms generally appear seven to 21 days after exposure.
