The provincial government is notifying the public of a new exposure site in Winkler, where people may have been exposed to measles.
Public health officials say anyone who was at Outpost Grill at Co-op Cardlock, on Manitoba Provincial Trunk Highway 3, on Oct. 25 from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Oct. 26 from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. should check their immunization records and ensure they are up to date with measles vaccines.
The announcement of a new exposure site in Manitoba comes the same day international health experts announced Canada was no longer designated a measles-free country, for the first time since 1998.
There have been 5,138 measles cases in Canada this year, including 247 confirmed cases in Manitoba.
