Manitoba Health sent information about measles to be distributed to parents though all schools and licensed daycares Thursday as infections continue to spread.
“In Manitoba, measles cases are beginning to increase, including through a recent school exposure. This information is being shared so you are aware of the current situation and can take steps to protect yourself and your family,” a letter signed by chief provincial public health officer Dr. Brent Roussin states.
The province announced Wednesday that there are 20 confirmed and four probable cases of measles in Manitoba.
