The Manitoba government is allowing motorists to enter provincial parks for free and recreational anglers to fish without a licence from Friday through Sunday.

Vehicle permits won’t be required to enter provincial parks over the weekend, though regular camping fees will still apply at campgrounds, the province said on Monday.

Anglers can fish without a licence provincewide, except for in Riding Mountain National Park, where a federal licence is required.

Other angling regulations, including possession limits and size restrictions, remain in effect.
