Provincial health officials are warning of a potential measles exposure at the Brandon Shoppers Mall late last month.
In a news release on Tuesday, officials said anyone who was at the mall in Brandon on June 29 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. should monitor for symptoms until July 21.
The health department is asking anybody who was in that location during that time to check their immunization records and ensure they are up to date with their measles vaccines.
People who were exposed in those locations and born in 1970 or later, and who have never received a measles vaccine or been infected, should take the vaccine; reduce exposures to others; monitor symptoms; and keep a record of close contacts, the province said.
Infants younger than six months old, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems should not take the measles vaccine. Such people should instead contact their health-care provider, it said.
As of the last weekly update last Wednesday, the total number of confirmed measles cases climbed to 116 in 2025.
