Joint initiative to tackle violence against Indigenous women

Manitoba RCMP and Indigenous organizations will be working together to address violence against Indigenous women and girls, and LGBTTQ+ people.

The newly formed Joint Action Circle includes RCMP liaisons and various Indigenous organizations. They will create an action plan to confront violence and discrimination.

The circle plans to hold its inaugural meeting in February to discuss tangible first steps, RCMP Assistant Commissioner Rob Hill said.
