RCMP ask for public’s help in Thompson homicide investigation

RCMP Major Crimes investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying a male person of interest in connection with the stabbing death of a 21-year-old man from Leaf Rapids on May 20.

On Sunday, RCMP released two photos of a person of interest they are seeking to identify. On May 20, at 2:20 a.m., Thompson RCMP were called to the report of a stabbing in an open area off of Princeton Drive in Thompson. The victim was taken to hospital, where he died. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
