RCMP investigating after body found in Riverton

RCMP are investigating after human remains were found on a property in Riverton. 

On Tuesday, Mounties from the Gimli detachment were called about possible human remains in the community, located 130 kilometres north of Winnipeg, said an RCMP news release Wednesday. 

Officers confirmed that human remains had been found. 

RCMP say they’re investigating and have yet to identify the body. 

Major crimes detectives have taken over the case, said the RCMP, and further information will be released when it’s available.
