A 23-year-old man is dead and police are investigating after what RCMP say was a homicide on the Lake Manitoba First Nation.
On Thursday afternoon, officers with the Lundar detachment were called about a missing man with life-threatening injuries, said an RCMP news release on Friday.
RCMP and first nation safety officers responded to the community, roughly 180 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg, with police dogs and a drone to look for the injured man, said the release.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. they found him dead in a wooded area.
A second 23-year-old man was arrested in connection to the death. He remains in custody.
