RCMP investigating two deaths in Portage la Prairie home

Portage la Prairie RCMP, along with forensics and major crimes officers, are investigating after two people were found dead in a home Sunday night.

Mounties were called to a house on Oak Bay in the small city west of Winnipeg at about 10:30 p.m., where they found a 42-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman dead.

RCMP say they’re still investigating the circumstances of the deaths and have declined to immediately deem them suspicious.

Mounties said they have no concern for public safety and that officials will release more information later.
