Mounties say a driver’s failure to slow down and move over for an RCMP vehicle led to a significant drug bust.

Officers pulled over a vehicle that passed too closely to an officer conducting an unrelated traffic stop on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Brandon shortly after 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

Police arrested the driver and her male passenger. A search of the vehicle uncovered around three kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 500 grams of cocaine and 500 grams of crack cocaine, Manitoba RCMP said in a news release Wednesday.

A 28-year-old woman from Camrose, Alta., and a 32-year-old man from Melville, Sask., were remanded into custody and each charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and single counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
